I'm trying to learn using Farnsworth timing, so I set speed 20/10 which is nice for random groups. Unfortunately, word training is not respecting this setting, and I have troubles with decoding, which results in frustration.
Could you fix that bug, or just add an select to set effective WPM speed also? Cause it's much easier to train in this mode, but that spacing between leters is killing me.

Farnsworth timing can be used in word training, the configuration is just different. Another user already asked your question and Fabian (DJ5CW) has explained it in this thread:

dj5cw:
Farnsworth is possible in Word training, by setting the "minimum character speed" above the speed. E.g. character speed 20, speed 10wpm, then you will start with Farnsworth, and as you move up, the spacing will gradually become smaller, until you reach 20wpm, where you will no longer have Farnsworth timing.

So it is possible, though I am not sure it is a good idea to use Farnsworth timing in word training:

1) Many experienced users recommend getting rid of Farnsworth timing as soon as possible, because real morse code on the air is always without Farnsworth. That is what you will need to be able to understand in the end.

2) In lessons and code groups you are learning the recognize individual characters. In word training and plain text training on the other hand, you are learning to recognize the sound of entire words. With Farnsworth you will learn the words with incorrect timing, which might be hard to unlearn later.

I guess you can use Farnsworth timing in word training for now, if you feel that it helps you. Just don't hold on to it for too long, especially once you know all the morse characters well enough and your brain starts remembering entire words.

Thanks for advices. Unfortunately, this setting does nothing - speed is 20/20 on the beginning. I believe it works for variable speed, when it comes down on failed reception, but I'm using this module with constant speed. Also, even setting 10/10 uses same spacing between letters.

Understand your point about Farnsworth - and I believe it's 100% valid, but I'm still learning characters, and lessons module here is a bit painful; first of all, I feel that I'm training connection between ear and finger to type letter that I hear, instead of buffering whole word in my mind. It's caused because groups are random, not real words. As I'm going to use CW on ham bands, it's definitely not a result that I want to train (except typing down callsign on the beginning). Second, it does not wait between groups. I know that I can set constant spacing, but it's not dynamic.

That's why I think that word training here is perfect way for me to learn, but it's too hard for now to train when I need to repeat 10x single word and still use input box as buffer.

Already learned almost all letters in Morse Mania app on phone, which is very chilly experience, comparing to LCWO, which causes mostly negative thoughts :(

Edit: just saw your bio, I see that we share similar problems :)
