Dear colleagues,

Has anyone experienced delays of about half second in MorseMachine when using Bluetooth headphones with an iMac?
With wired headphones or the computer’s speakers, there is no delay. It seems to be some kind of interaction with the jscwlib library.

Thanks in advance,

Pere

I think the problem comes from the iMac’s hardware. It’s a fairly old model, and the Bluetooth connection has quite a bit of latency. I connected an external Bluetooth transmitter (Bluetooth 6.0) to the headphone output, and it works fine.

Yes....bluetooth has latency issues. I also use a Vanband for morse and this device has poor latency as well when utilizing blutooth. I generally just plug in headphones and turn off Bluetooth completely to avoid problems.

Yes Frank, but the problem is more evident in MorseMachine as it takes some time from character to character avoiding a normal high speed operation.
