American morse has no place in an international hobby. One accepted standard and only one. No offense to our telegraphy forefathers.

I am inclined to agree with Brandon. It is difficult enough to convince modern enthusiasts to learn Vail code and to use it; to add a totally unnecessary and complex layer only adds to the task and leads to confusion. American code is a fine piece of history, and that is where it should stay since it has absolutely no application today.
