From the hill country of Bastrop, yipee and yeehaw!
WELCOME FELLOW TEXANS!

Let the code be our ode!
Let Morse be our horse!
As we gallop down Telegraph Road!

Let us throw up our hats,
Fire two bullets with a flash,
That celebrate the dot and the dash!

From the bluebonnet creeks,
to the Guadalupe Peaks,
Let us learn the CW melody!

Let the code be our ode!
Let Morse be our horse!
As we gallop down Telegraph Road!

I just read your qrz bio W5TS. My first radio was a CB also hehe. It was a handheld and I was 10 years old. Loved it for a few years and then lost it. 15 years later, I accidently discovered the wikipedia article on morse code and amateur radio. Imagine my delight! Welcome to the Texas Titans, W5TS. Hope you enjoy LCWO.net as much as I do. Feel free to post. By the way, nice wx lately huh? I am enjoying the reprieve from the high temps.

I saw the CoWboy & CoWgirl reference and had to look in on this thread. I read the poem to my wife and we had a good laugh. We were born and raised in Wisconsin. However, ee are legally Texans now by claiming this state as our domicile. We are full-time RVers who are rarely in Texas. We are part of the 'Escapees RV Club' based out of Livingston. We have enjoyed our time traveling all over Texas. Hope to cross paths on the bands. 73
