I am KD, N5KS, and I live in the Texas Panhandle with my Wife Kathie. We have been married for 49 years as of June 4, 2025 and we are both retired. I have been a licensed amateur radio operator since 1970.
I learned CW in 1968, and I learned it incorrectly. Now, almost 60 years later, I hope to learn it right. I didn't learn CW by sound, I learned it be dots and dashes. I would hear the sound of dit dah dah on the radio and translate it to dot dash dash in my head and then translate to the letter W.
So far, I have a good feeling about this training. I've been stuck for many years at 19 to 21 WPM, and can't break that barrier. I have a great deal of hope that I'll be able to accomplish my CW goals. |
