nonagenarian - FM Posted: 2026-06-29 22:15	I suppose, that characters like a-umlaut didahdidah are transmitted as ae. So simplified is probably a tranformation to international Morse.
DITman - Posted: 2026-06-30 13:36	nonagenarian is exactly right. When you select Word training, it is explained at the top. There it says: You can also check the box for simplifying words; depending on the language chosen, this converts nonstandard characters like umlauts to easier representations (i.e. ä becomes ae). I guess it would be a good suggestion to add that explanation to Plain Text Training as well.
