Very good, even extremely good to use a pen. Write down what you hear on paper. One out of 10 or even more exercises copy your resultsfrom paper on your keyboard in order to obtain a result. Remember Morse code was used long before typing machines were available, and realize the fact that you can communicate in Morse in circumstances that you don't have a typing machine available.

The way I do it with "Code Groups" is to write the "code" on paper. After the exercise has finished you can type the characters in the square, "with one finger", at your own speed. It is possible to repeat the send code by touching the arrow head again before typing. After typing the program will look for faults. But you don't have to type it. The program will show a fault marking and display the send code anyway. This way, you have to look yourself for mistakes, with 100% faults remark. You can use MorseMachine to learn typing, but writing seems to be better. See nanogerian's remarks. Writing has a maximum speed of about 20 wpm though. Good luck, Nico.
