Posted: 2026-03-28 18:22 | Hello, I am new to this forum.
I was pleased to find your "/transmit" page because I am new to amateur radio in general and specifically to learning morse. I hacked a cabled USB mouse, wiring a 3.5mm mono jack socket to the left-click microswitch on its interior circuit board. I connected a straight key (a WT8AMP No.2) which works well for me as a complete novice. I need to practice a whole lot more! Thank you for making this site available. It works well on my Chromebook. I did the same a while ago, works well indeed - and independent of the operating system. Although it's not rocket science, I captured the details here: https://blog.fluxcoil.net/post/2025/12/simple-connection-of-morse-key-to-computer/ Now I "just" need to improve listening to get into giving CW.. :) 73 de JL1AYH/DJ0CH . |
