I find that if I go a day or two without practicing I have to start over.
Anybody else have to do this?
I don't think I'll ever learn code.

Yep, same here... really frustrating.

You will fimd the whole process to be ups amd down as far as progress is concerned. Every time I added a new letter it was like I forgot the rest. Others have written the same thing.

You don't say what char speed and effective speed you are using. Try 20/2 or 20/5 for a minute with 3 character groups.

I was doing 30/5. Tried slowing it 20/5 and that seemed to help.
Thanks for the help.
Now it's practice, practice, practice.....

Did you consider copying some morse mp3 files to your cellphone,
so you can listen away on/in [the train|car|queue(s)|whilst walking|coffee break]

Good idea but no I'm at the computer more then not, so doing the practice online is easier for me.

. . . I was thinking of the days when you weren't able to practice ( at the computer ) . . .

Thanks. I'm retired and don't get very far from the computer. I'm just a little lazy when it comes to practicing. lol

. . . ah . . . enjoy.

I think it will come a lot easier if you just listen to some morse on a daily basis though . . .

. . . but you would be able to play it out loud at home instead of using 'phones.

I happen to think testing yourself all the time is a bit over-rated . . . YMMV
