I am making good progress with the morse machine, I must say that for the last 3 or 4 lessons I have been only using the morse machine. I prefer it over the other study method. I make fewer mistakes and I can really make my study time productive.
Is this the best way to learn, should I do both methods? I am up to lesson 10 and beginning to recall without hesitation.

My opinion is that it is NOT the best way BECAUSE

- You have infinite time to think about what the last character was.
- your speed is limited by your reaction time
(You do not hear next letter before you type the last letter, so full reaction time ear->hand is always needed)
- you are not in any way training the necessary pipelining in your brain. (That is decoding the next letter WHILE you are typing the previous letter)

Because new characters in high numbered lessons are very sparse distributed, ik is a good idea to use morse machine to train them.
(example Groups: 29 (145 characters), Errors 141
in lesson 40 when I answer only xxxxx, so the new character x is only 4 times presented)

It is however a much better idea to make custom code groups with the last learned five characters.

You can call this multi tasking. Later you need to keep some letters in your mind, until you are able, to guess the word. Then write it down. I'm still struggling with this.

Lessons / Code Groups: Don't care about the 10-15% of errors. This is just the way, how it works. If one letter is wrong, let it go and concentrate on the next one.

Exercise with short words to start with. 3 and 4 characters.

you can be quick with the type letter and it will speed up with you. There is minimal gap between letters, and you can stay on as long as you want.
I hope to hear other responses,, thanks above
