I am really kind of confused on getting my license back. In 1989 I passed the Novice and General exams and was given the callsign KC4PVJ. I don't remember taking a technician test. on 12/21 of 1993 I passed the advanced test and was given the callsign Kr4kg. which I let expire in 2003. Due to several reasons I didn't renew it. My question is with all this credit stuff, what do I need to do to get at least my general back.

After expiring you have a 2 year grace time to renew it. If not used you have to do an examination. That is what I read for you, on
http://wireless.fcc.gov/services/index.htm?job=licensing&id=amateur

May be when you don't understand that text you ask at ARRL or direct on FCC.

Morse code at any 'proficiency' is no longer required anyway.

That pretty much answers my question, it was the part about the technician test which I care nothing about that baffeled me. I just like cw. Thanks a lot. Bob
