Hello all. Quick question about the Morse Machine. I find it VERY helpful for practicing before I do the actual lesson (typing the groups of 5). However, I noticed that you can reset the stats and the bars all go back to the top. Am I messing anything up by doing that? Are there some stats somewhere for me showing me what letters I mess up on the most or something? I am new to the site and still figuring everything out.

Thanks for the input -
R

Look at http://c2.com/morse/wiki.cgi?WardCunningham

When I use Morse Machine I hear a random character, have my reaction time and type it in in order to get the next character presented. So I never ever have an effective speed higher than 10 wpm or so.

When I get plain text presented in regular spacing
50/50 no problem, I read it fluently in my head.

So be carefull using that machine. It prevents that you use some kind of pipelining in your head, that turns out to be essential to reach regular speeds.

Any suggestions (in practicing) hearing whole words (at first and later on whole sentences) in the “head”?
I’m nearly in the end of the 40 lessons and I need suggestions for the next step.
