- If you are right handed which paddle should produce the dots and which the dahs ?

- if there is not a standard what setup is preferred by most hams?

Most users use thumb for dot and finger for dash regardless of which hand they use.

Historically the thumb were dots because the thumb needs more (and has more) power for mechanical bugs.

That is copied for paddles. However the finger is faster and more precise in timing, so when you plan to train high speed it may be wise to put the dots on the finger side. External keyers have commands to change left and right.

When you wire a bug with a stereo plug, put the dits at the tip the dashes at the ring behind the tip.
