There is an earlier comment here about apparent difference in speed from the G4FON trainer. I also don't believe the LCWO speeds are correct - they seem too fast in some cases. Specifically:

I set the character (Farnsworth) speed to 25WPM and set the sending speed to 5 WPM. Here is some of what appears in my summary page after running a lesson:

"Result (25/5 wpm)" [This agrees with the setting I entered]

"Real speed: 25 characters / 30.6 seconds = 9.8 wpm / 49 cpm" [Real speed should be ~5 wpm as set, shouldn't it?]

This seems to be saying that even LCWO believes the actual speed is more like 10 WPM - 25 characters in 30 seconds, not the 5 WPM intended.

This seems like a program bug to me.

The LCWO web service is a great thing, by the way, especially if you don't normally run Windows (I have a Mac). G4FON is wonderful but I'd have to reboot into Windows to use it.
