Something changed so now it takes 5 secs to start playing. This is annoying for listening to sample letters and for another reason which is that sometimes it doesn't play at all, which didn't matter so much, but with the delay it isn't immediately obvious that the not-playing fault has occurred.

Yep, the delay was added to cope with the Flash Player 10 problems, but I agree it is pretty annoying for playing the sample letters and also for the callsign training, when not using Flash 10.

I'll add a switch to the CW settings tonight, where you can enable or disable the delay; default will be off (like it used to be).
