Thread: Crispy noise during start-up of call sign

I would now start speed training on call signs on my Linux box. But during start-up of every call sign the first one or two characters are deteriorated by crispy noise impulses independent which cw player I select on cw-parameter. As a solution: could it be possible to include a one second quiet character during start-up? Or is there any other means to suppress this noise in the beginning?

Any solution is highly appreciated.

Hi Karl,

I used to have a period of silence before the calls were sent, but I figured out that there was no longer a problem with the latest versions of the Flash player and neither with HTML5 on my machine. But adding a little silence again is not a problem, and I suppose that just a few milliseconds will be enough to remove the problem.

Hi Fabian,

a few milliseconds if already applied does not change the situation with all CW players checked. Could you insert 1 or 2 spaces in front of each call sign? Probably this will have different affect.
