Seems to me that I should be able to attach a key or paddle to the usb port on my Macbook and practice sending as well as listening to code. So far I've only seen this capability for PCs. Does anyone know of a Mac solution like this without going to Parallels or some other Windows on a Mac work around?

It can only handle straight key, but modifying it for paddles should not be impossible. As it shows up as a keyboard for the computer, you can use it with any software that takes keyboard input.
