It seems to me, that my login session times out pretty quickly these days.

was some change made to this site? Is it possible for me to be logged into the website for longer durations?

I noticed the same lately, but I didn't change anything relating to the sessions, to my knownledge. Will investigate what's happening there...

It should be fixed now.

My web hoster changed some of the default parameters, which reduced the session lifetime.

I increased it to 12 hours now, and just found out that the session I left open when I went to sleep yesterday is still alife now at 8am :-)

So as long as you don't close your browser, the sessions should last up to 12 hours without any activity. Each activity on the page will reset the counter to 12 hours.
