| [deleted] Tallennettu: 2010-03-19 04:11 | I have thought about this, why wouldn't this work?
If I ever had to re-do it over again and started out fresh never ever hearing any morse code before when I was young; I think I would start at 100 wpm and listen to the individual sounds at that level. The possible problem would be that I may not be able to copy code at 25 wpm then? Do I have something here or am I out to lunch? Craig, AH8DX |

When you keep track of the postings here, (I do, I learn a lot of the contents of the messages and possibly even more of the people behind the messages) you have learned that QRQQ morse is copied on the spectrum (tonebursts) and QRS morse, is subsonic, and is taken by recognition the time pattern. The golden ham-law (listen listen listen), is also valid on forums. So my answer, based on the acquired knowledge on this website is, that when you should be able -starting from scratch - to learn morse at 100 wpm, lower speeds shall have the same effect as playing a voice recording at a fraction of the nominal speed. |

Being fairly new to this site since January, it amazes me that I can ask a question and get honest logical thought-out information from hams that have been around much longer than I. Your words (listen, listen, listen) is something I practice always on the air but failed to do the same on this forum. Since receiving your (scolding), I have gone back through the forums and threads and picked up yet more valuable info in regards to the question I asked. Should I go to my room now? Hi Craig, AH8DX |
